We've seen it often on social media or take a look at her beautiful account Meladolcevita. Now Melanie has created a larger pie version of it! Enjoying it without sugar and with fewer carbs. Ingredients

Low carb Twix pie

  • 90 grams room temperature butter
  • 60 grams Steviala Kristal Sweet
  • 200 grams Steviala almond flour
  • 20 drops Steviala butter cookie flavour drops
  • 10 grams vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt

Sugarfree caramel layer

  • 100 grams butter
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  • 100 grams Steviala Heavenly Dark syrup substitute
  • 100 grams Steviala Ery-Bronze brown sugar substitute
  • pinch of salt

Low carb chocolate topping

  • 180 grams Steviala Dark Chocolate Melties

Preparation

Making the low carb Twix pie

First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (hot air). Then, add all the ingredients for the crust to a mixing bowl. Knead until you have a homogeneous batter. Next, line the quiche pan with parchment paper. Then, distribute the dough in the quiche pan. Bake the crust for the low carb Twix pie for about 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Let the crust cool completely.

Making the sugarfree caramel layer

Meanwhile. melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan. Then mix all the other ingredients in a mixing bowl. Once the butter has melted, gradually pour the remaining ingredients into the saucepan while stirring. Continue stirring for about 20 minutes. During this time, the caramel will simmer and thicken. When the sauce has thickened, remove it from the heat. Then continue stirring while the caramel sauce cools. Pour the sauce over the crust of the low carb Twix pie and place the quiche pan in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.

Making the low carb chocolate layer

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir well and then let the chocolate sauce cool slightly. Then, pour it over the caramel layer of the low carb Twix pie. Then, place the quiche pan back in the refrigerator. At last, allow the low carb Twix cake to cool and set for at least half an hour.
