Ingredients
Low carb chocolate mousse
- 130 grams Steviala Dark or Milk Chocolate Melties
- 250 ml whipping cream
- 2 egg whites
- 30 grams Steviala Kristal Sweet
- 30 grams of Steviala Oh' Choc! chocolate spread
- toppings: crumbled cookies + chopped hazelnuts
Baking supplies
- 2 mixing bowls
- electric hand mixer or food processor
- spatula
- 2 glasses
Preparation
Making low carb chocolate mousse
First start by whipping the whipping cream, together with the Steviala Kristal Sweet. Then separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Set this aside. Then melt the chocolate melties using the au-bain marie method. Fill a saucepan with a layer of water and place it on low heat. Place a heat-resistant bowl on top of this. Then add the melting chocolate. Make sure the bowl does not touch the water. Let the chocolate melt slowly while you keep stirring. Then let the melted chocolate cool a bit before continuing with this low carb chocolate mousse.
Then add the cooled melted chocolate to the whipped cream. Be careful not to lose too much volume. Then fold the beaten egg whites through this mixture. Don't keep scooping for too long, otherwise you'll lose too much volume. Finally, scoop the Oh' Choc! chocolate spread through it.
Divide this into 2 glasses and put it in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Serve the low carb chocolate mousse with some grated chocolate, extra Oh' Choc! chocolate topping and bon appetito!
