Low carb orange cakes, so tasty and ideal to make with King's Day! For this recipe, we just took the recipe of the low carb pink cakes but then transformed them into orange cakes. These cakes come in different varieties. Usually, an orange cake is a round slice of cake in which almond paste has been processed, then topped with an orange icing layer. But you can of course also make a glaze of a different colour. Take a look at the low carb pink cakes.

Ingredients

Low carb orange cakes

  • 100 grams butter
  • 65 grams Steviala Kristal Sweet
  • 20 Steviala drops Bourbon-Vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 20 grams Steviala low carb coconut flour
  • 80 grams Steviala low carb almond flour
  • 5 grams baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Sugar free glaze

  • 100 grams Steviala Frost
  • 10 Steviala drops Orange Splash
  • orange food dye
  • water

Baking supplies

  • oven
  • electric hand mixer or whisk
  • mixing bowl
  • cupcake baking thin

Preparation

Making low carb orange cakes

First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Start by whipping the butter, Kristal Sweet, Steviala bourbon vanilla drops and a pinch of salt. Then add the eggs while beating. Finally, add the Steviala coconut flour, almond flour and baking powder and mix until smooth.

Then take a cupcake mold and grease 10 circles with butter. Then fill the molds about halfway with the batter. Now they are ready to go into the oven. Bake the cakes in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown. Let the cakes cool completely before removing them from the mold and covering them with the glaze.

When the low carb orange cakes have cooled completely, start with the icing layer. To do this, place the Frost in a bowl and add the Orange Splash drops and the orange colouring. Then you add water little by little. Build this up really slowly or it will become too runny.

Then spread the glaze on your cakes and let it harden in the fridge.

Echt een aanrader om dit te maken en dus beslist voor herhaling vatbaar.
Makkelijk en duidelijk recept en oh die topping is zo lekker smelt, in de mond.
Ik vind ze zelfs lekkerder dan de originele rose koeken.
