Sugar-free donuts
Want to make sugar-free donuts? Then this is a super easy and fun low-carb and sugar-free recipe. For King's Day, I made these delicious orange, sugar-free donuts. This recipe is also great fun to make with children! The donuts are made from Steviala almond flour and sweetened with Steviala Kristal Sweet. Steviala almond flour is rich in vitamin E, easily digestible, and contains only 1/10 of the carbohydrates compared to wheat flour. For the topping, you can choose various products, such as Greek yogurt combined with Steviala Frost sugar-free powdered sugar.
You can make the donuts shortly beforehand or well in advance and freeze them. In that case, take them out of the freezer at least 3 hours before you want to decorate them. I also recommend spreading the topping on just before serving, as the donuts look their best then. If you leave the donuts out longer, the topping will soak into the dough a bit and cracks may start to form.

Preparation
Making Sugar-free donuts
Grease a 6-donut baking pan and preheat the oven to 160°C. Take a large bowl, combine all ingredients, and mix well until a light batter forms. Then, using a large tablespoon, scoop two tablespoons into each donut mold. Bake the donuts for 20 minutes until they have risen nicely and are golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool briefly. Then remove them from the pan and let them cool further on a wire rack.
Preparing Sugar-free glaze
For a sugar-free glaze, mix 3 tablespoons of Steviala Frost with a little water until a smooth mixture forms. Spread this over the donuts. To make colored icing, mix half a tablespoon of natural orange food coloring and half a tablespoon of water. Mix well and add a few drops of food coloring. Then mix well again. Next, spread the orange icing on the donuts and pipe white icing stripes over them using a piping bag. For a sugar-free quark topping, take your desired amount of quark in a bowl and mix it with a few drops of natural orange food coloring. Add one or two drops of bourbon vanilla stevia or the zest of a vanilla bean to taste. Then spread the orange quark on the donuts. Next, mix 3 tablespoons of Steviala Frost with a little water until a smooth mixture forms, and pipe a few white icing stripes over the donut using a piping bag.
Enjoy!
