Sugarfree orange panna cotta after an idea by Farzana Akbar, better known under her beautiful Instagram account Akbar Foodlover. This delicious panna cotta is a delicious and summery dessert that you can prepare at any time. This orange panna cotta is not low in carbohydrates, but if you want to eat it low in carbohydrates, you can omit the topping or replace the orange with lemon with extra Steviala Kristal Sweet to make it a little sweeter.

Ingredients

Sugar free orange panna cotta

  • 150 ml whipping cream
  • 150 grams quark or Almhof Orange yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon Steviala Orange Splash drops for a strong orange flavour (or less for a less sweet taste)
  • 2 tablespoons Steviala Frost Orange
  • 2 gelatin sheets

Preparation

Making a sugarfree orange panna cotta

First, soak the gelatin sheets in water for 5 minutes. Then heat the rest of the ingredients in a pan and bring to the boil. Then let the gelatin leaves dissolve and keep stirring! Divide this and let it rest in the fridge for at least a few hours.

Making an orange topping without added sugars

Then we start with the topping of the sugarfree orange panna cotta. First, soak 2 gelatine leaves in a bowl of water.

Then heat the orange juice in a pan over low heat, together with the Steviala Kristal Sweet. Stir and remove from heat before the juice starts to boil. Add the wrung out gelatin leaves and mix until dissolved. Add a pinch of cinnamon if desired. Then let it cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Stir regularly. Then take the glasses of sugarfree panna cotta from the refrigerator and spread the orange jelly over them. Place the sugarfree orange panna cotta in the refrigerator again for at least three hours.

Decorate to your own taste and serve well chilled.

Tips

  • Prefer low carb Panna Cotta? Replace the orange with lemon and add some extra sweetener. You can also choose to just omit the topping.
  • Also vary with other fruit such as red fruit or sugarfree Mango panna cotta, the choice is yours!
