A plum cake tastes very good, and is quite simple to prepare too. Usually a lot of sugar is needed to make it taste good. Fortunately, thanks to the sugar free plum cake, this is absolutely no longer a problem. This plum cake is a real treat. Due to the lack of sugars, even people who have to watch their sugar intake because of diabetes, can fully enjoy it. The cake is sweetened with Steviala Kristal Sweet. One of the nice things about this sugar free plum cake is that you can use plums from your own garden if you wish. It is an absolute asset when you have a plum tree in the garden. To put this delicious cake on the table you will need the following ingredients:

Ingredients

Sugar free plum cake

  • 200 grams Steviala almond flour
  • 150 grams soft and unsalted butter
  • a generous pinch of baking powder
  • 80 grams Steviala Kristal Sweet
  • 2 large or 4 small plums
  • 4 eggs
  • Steviala drops, for example natural or bourbon-vanilla
  • optional almond shavings for the topping

Baking supplies

  • oven
  • knife
  • 20 cm springform tin
  • baking paper
  • butter for greasing the edges
  • whisk
  • mixing bowl
  • spatula
  • skewer

Preparation

Making a sugar free plum cake

First, preheat the oven to 160 degrees. After that, wash the plums, remove their pit and then cut into slices. Then beat the butter with the sugar substitute and add a few Steviala drops. Steviala Kristal Sweet has the same structure as regular sugar, but does not contain any chemical additives. In addition to Kristal Sweet, the plum cake also gets a delicious taste by using about 15 vanilla drops. Then sieve the almond flour over the mixture and fold it through.

Making the batter is an important step in the cooking process, but you're not there yet. Take a springform or baking pan and line it with baking paper. Also, don't forget to grease the edges well. This makes cleaning the baking pan easier later on. Then divide three-quarters of the batter over the springform. Place the plums on top and apply the rest of the batter on top of the fruit. You can add almond shavings for a tasty topping.

The sugar free plum cake can now be placed in the preheated oven. Keep in mind that the baking time can differ per oven. On average, 1 hour is enough to bake a delicious sugar free plum cake. If necessary, check if the cake is ready with a skewer.

Enjoy!
