Preparation
Making sugar free vanilla custard
First you start by separating 2 eggs. Save the 2 egg whites for another dish, like this low carb nougatine ice cream cake. Mix the 2 whole eggs, 2 egg yolks, almond milk, whipped cream, vanilla extract, Steviala 2 Sweet and arrowroot powder in a bowl. Then stir it well. Then add the Steviala vanilla custard drops and taste if it is sweet enough for your taste.
Pour the egg mixture into a saucepan over low heat while stirring. Then keep stirring with a whisk. Next, turn the heat up a bit while you keep stirring with a whisk. Do this until the sugar free vanilla custard thickens. Then turn off the heat and continue stirring for 1 minute with the whisk. Next, pour the sugar free vanilla custard into a bowl. Then let it cool completely and then place in the fridge.
You can keep this sugar free vanilla custard in the fridge for 5 days if it's not used up before then! Sugar free vanilla custard is delicious as a filling, for example in this sugar free Fraisier cake.
