Sweet without sweeteners: Steviala sauces

Steviala proudly presents a new range of syrup substitutes, namely sauces and syrups without sweeteners but still sweet! These are the next-level sauces reduced in sugars on the market. By the way, did you know that our fruit sauces contain 24.7 to 32% real fruit puree? And that our Heavenly Dark butter caramel syrup substitute only has 3.9 grams of sugars per 100 grams? So they are not sugar free syrup substitutes, but they do contain a maximum of 5.5 grams of sugars from fibre and/or fruit per 100 grams. They therefore contain naturally occurring sugars. In addition, no added sugars or sweeteners have been added to make the syrups sweeter. And you can't taste that at all, because they are deliciously sweet! And we are so proud of that!

Sugar free diet

There is actually no such thing as a completely sugar free diet. When we talk about a sugar free diet, we usually mean that we eat no added sugars. People then get their energy from sugars that are naturally present. Just think of bananas, strawberries or other fruit. But also vegetables. Eating completely sugar free is therefore not possible, because you need sugar to be able to live. This energy can therefore best be obtained from products that contain naturally present sugars. Think vegetables, fruit and dairy. These products therefore fit within a balanced diet. These are foods that contain the necessary healthy nutrients such as fibre and vitamins in addition to sugars. It's the added sugars that your body often doesn't really need. Another alternative are products with less sugars or reduced in sugars.

Less sugars or rather sugar free syrup?

Steviala syrup substitutes contain remarkably less sugars than regular syrups. Since our sauces and syrup substitutes contain between 3.9 and 5.5 grams of sugars per 100 grams, we do not sell sugar free syrup substitutes. Do you prefer a sugar free syrup? These sauces are delicious in any sweet dish. There are many different ways you can use these syrup substitutes. For example, what did you think as a topping for these low carb American pancakes? That completes this stack of pancakes. But you can do a lot more with it! Use it as a topping on waffles, cupcakes, pies, cakes, baked oats and more. Make a party out of that boring bowl of yoghurt or quark. You can even turn an ordinary smoothie into a real treat. You can't think of it that crazy or it's possible! Prebiotics: more fibre

These syrup substitutes and sauces from Steviala contain fructo-oligosaccharides. That is a fibre that you find a lot in bananas, onions, asparagus or leeks. Our gut bacteria are very happy with prebiotics. Because prebiotics follow our digestive system untouched until they meet our gut bacteria. They in turn make grateful use of this: the prebiotics are a source of nutrition for the good bacteria in our gut. In this way, they stimulate the activity of these bacteria. So there will be more of these good bacteria.

However, eating too much fibre in one sitting can also cause problems with the intestinal flora. Drink plenty of fluids and don't overdo it. Ideal is about 30 grams of dietary fibre per day. You also prefer to eat more fibre gradually, increasing the amounts step by step for a few weeks. Our syrup substitutes contain naturally occurring sugars. This means it is not a sugar free syrup.

For everyone who wants to enjoy sweet without sweeteners

The new sauces and syrup substitutes from Steviala therefore contain no sweeteners. In addition to being often reduced in sugars, almost all our sauces are lactose-free, gluten-free, high in fibre, vegan and reduced in carbs. This makes the sauces suitable for almost everyone. Some of our sauces contain a very small amount of barley malt extract. We can actually say that these sauces are also gluten-free because they contain less than 20mg/kg gluten, in accordance with regulation 828/2014. However, we prefer not to claim them gluten-free, despite the minimal amount of gluten it contains. The Heavenly Dark and Caramel Crush, for example, contain a minimal amount of barley malt extract.

The sauces are available in a handy and resealable squeeze bottle of 420 grams. You should keep the sugar reduced syrup cool and dry to enjoy it the longest. All these syrups have a shelf life of 1.5 years after production. Which syrup substitute is your favourite?
